LIFE AT BIT
BIT is a place full
of life and fun. In this section, we get back to our good old "masti bhari
zindegi" at BIT and share our experiences as a BITian. This section is open for
posts both by Alumni and Students. |
Down the memory Lane Posted by KARUNAKARAN ASHOK on 2010-11-14 Rewind back to the late sevenities. 1977-1981 to be precise.BIT then had only 7 Hostels for Boys (1-7) and One for the girls. Institute Buses ferried only staff memebers and their wards to Ranchi town. WE used to sit atop a beauty called "Binaca " (a MIni bus that carried more people atop it than inside ). I do not know if students still ride on the roof of the bus but in our days we did just that. We used to have sinle seated rooms for all students from freshers to PGs and our friends in other institutes used to envy us.Khalsa Dhaba at BIT Modh used to serve the best chicken Butter Masala in the world . I do not know if it still exists there. Munna Dhaba on the river bank behind Hostels 3 and 4 used to be our haunt . A Movie at one of the theatres follwed by a veg snack at Sheetal chaya or chinese at Maharaja (when pocket permitted) were all eagerly looked forwad to.
Not sure how Ranchi amd Mesra are today. But 30 years back we used to have real fun out there. Really miss those days

Memoirs of BIT Mesra Posted by TRILOKI N NAGPAL on 2010-08-22 I am an ex-BITian (was there from 1963 to 1968, Mechanical; remember folks it was a 5 year degree course after 11th). I am writing a blog - apart from other stuff there are numerous chapters on my memoirs of BIT - 10 chapters have already been completed. It would be nice if our Alumni as well as the present students to spare some time and give me feedback. Some day hope these chapters would see the shape of a book. BIT As "Processor" Posted by RAJEEV RANJAN on 2010-04-14 BIT is an institute which takes correct input and after taking a long periods (for outsider but very less periods for students of BIT ) to produce a correct sorry very excellent output, that output definitely may be tested by applying any test cases or test suits ,bounds to give the correct output.
so my experience in BIT was very nice. personally here i knew that how to manage the time and gave me courage and aspirations to pursue my life further.
So cheers BITIANS!!!!!!!!!!
